The Ally institution report is available to Blackboard administrators, such as Deans and Assistant Deans, and provides an accessibility score for all courses in Blackboard by year, term, or month. This report can be used to assess institutional performance and identify the most common accessibility issues at the university level.
Accessing the Institution Report (Administrators only):
- Log in to Blackboard and select Admin on the left navigation menu.
- Select Ally Institution Report LTI 1.3 under Tools and Utilities.
Ally Institution Report Features:
Dynamic Line Graph – This graph displays accessibility scores in three categories: a Files score, WYSIWYG score (What You See Is What You Get- text written in the Blackboard content editor), and an Overall score. You have the option of filtering by academic year, term, or month and can export data.
Circle Graphs – Three circle graphs display the total courses, total content created, and overall accessibility score. Hovering over a portion of the graph will provide additional metrics. These graphs change based on the time period selected.
Accessibility Issues – This section provides information on specific content accessibility issues from a selected time period and identifies the number of content items failing the check. Select a row from this list to view an explanation of the issue and a list of courses that contain the issue.
Courses Tab – A courses tab is located at the top of the institution report that will allow you to view a list of all courses and their corresponding accessibility score. Select a course to display its accessibility report.
Usage tab – Use the usage tab to generate and download a Usage Report to find out how students and instructors are using Ally. The report will show how often students download alternative formats and how often instructors fix issues.
